I encountered many problems with the StayFocused chrome browser extension. It wouldn't work at first with the sites that I get distracted by when doing schoolwork. Such as, netflix.com, youtube.com, and facebook.com. The extension would not work at times and it was very frustrating to try and get this reflection done. So I came to the conclusion that I needed to download an app that had the same purpose that StayFocused has. I downloaded an app called, "SelfControl" only available for MacBooks and, in my opinion, work better than stay focused. Once I downloaded the app and input the multiple sites that distract me, I realized how often I get distracted and visit these sites. So I feel like apps and extensions like StayFocused actually work well for the student who gets distracted from schoolwork easily. The only problem is that StayFocused is not a very well-made browser extension in my opinion. I just think that it is a bit too complicated. Where as SelfControl is simple to use, all you have to do is add websites into the, "blacklist"Saturday, January 16, 2016
